Football Italia - Arsenal are increasingly being linked with Mario Balotelli and today are reported as ready to offer wages of over €11m a year.
The Gunners have emerged in recent weeks as a leading candidate to come in with a bid this summer for the 23-year-old, who Milan are believed to have made available for transfer, at the right price.
It is a situation seen as centred on a €30m
valuation and that Balotelli's agent has not
outright dismissed as improbable.
Reports yesterday indicated that Arsenal
have opened talks with Mino Raiola over a
proposed deal and are also looking into the
financial viability of a summer operation.
Numerous outlets in the UK are today running the line that the club have now tabled a prospective wage offer to the Italy international.
It is believed that the Premier League side are
prepared to pay £180,000 a week to Balotelli,
around €225,000, to amount to an annual salary of over €11m. The striker's Milan earnings each year are seen as around the €4m mark, after tax. Meanwhile, Tuttosport report that Arsenal may put forward Joel Campbell in negotiations with Milan, to lower the cash spend on Balotelli.
He would be a perfect summer transfer for the Gunners and I think at that wage, he would be a steal compared to other world class strikers' wages.
