Arsenal Superstar Mesut Ozil has clearly manifested his desire for European football stating that the importance of Champions League football cannot be over emphasised. The Gunners will qualify to Europe's prestigious competition for a club record 17th time successively if they beat Westbrom Albion on Sunday at The Emirates. Özil has watched his former Real Madrid team-mates seal their spot in the Champions League final thanks to a commanding victory over holders Bayern Munich this week.
And the 25-year-old is determined to help steer the Gunners into next season's competition.
"This week we could see the importance of the Champions League." Özil posted on his Facebook page. "Another three points and no one can challenge our ranking in the top 4. We want to win on Sunday at all costs! #COYG #bpl #AFCvWBA."
Özil, who is now gaining match fitness from his recent injury produced a 'Man of the Match' display as he scored Arsenal's second goal and provided an assist for the third as the Gunners beat Newcastle 3-0 at Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
